Fiedler & Lundgren is a manufacturer of snus, with brands such as Mocca, Granite, Lundgrens and Lucky Strike. The business has been in Malmö since 2002. The business has roots from a tailor in Gothenburg who in 1783 settled on snus production. Production continued until 1915 when tobacco monopoly was introduced in Sweden. The company then moved to Copenhagen where they launched the brands Gothenburg Snus, a powerful snus type, which is now produced in Holstebro, and the milder Stockholm Snus. In 1961, sales reached 750,000,000 snuff boxes, but then it started to decline and production and sales rights were transferred to the Scandinavian Tobacco Company, which from the summer of 1987 produced the old snuff brands.

 

They recently announced their summer edition, Öland. Öland is usually called the “island of violas” and together with Stora Alvaret’s very distinctive landscape, Lundgrens Öland’s flavoring has been inspired by Alvaret’s unique flower hybrids, which is evident in the taste of violet. The snuff also has earthy notes, inspired by the thin soil layer on top of the limestone, together with light tones of grass and wood. Lundgren’s journey around Sweden to find inspiration for snus experiences continues and in the summer of 2019 we have reached Öland. Its unique nature and, in particular, Stora Alvaret’s desolate and beautiful limestone shed are reminiscent of nothing else – this is where Lundgrens has found inspiration for the 2019 summer edition. Lundgrens Öland is our caring interpretation of this unique part of Sweden.
